SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS

The objectives of the specification are to describe the type and quality of each construction in the project.

1. Providing & laying foundation works up to basement as per structural consultants drawings and specifications

2. Cement concrete works to be as per the structural engineers' drawings and specifications

3. Backfilling of the earth is foundations, excavation pit etc. wherever specified in layers of not exceeding 450 mm thick including breaking clods, watering, compaction etc. complete

4. Filling the approved quality of earth in plinths, area development etc. wherever specified in layers of including breaking clods, watering, compaction etc. complete

  • Footing concrete
  • Plinth beam concrete
  • Grade beam concrete
  • Column pedestal concrete
  • Column till basement height concrete

5.Anti termite treatment: applying pre-construction anti-termite treatment including the chemical (chlorophyriphos emulsifiable – with ratio 1:19 (one-part chemical and 19 part water) in sealed containers and diluting with ratio specified against each and injecting it creating a continuous chemical barrier under and all-round the column pits, wall trenches, basement excavation, top surface of plinth filling, the junction of wall and floor, along the external perimeter of the building, expansion joints, over the top surface of consolidated earth on which the apron is to be laid, surroundings of pipes and conducts etc. all complete as per specifications. Anti termite liquid has to be provided by the owner.

6.Superstructure: laying of reinforced cement concrete of specified grade at all levels and height specified below using cement as approved by consultants including all leads and lifts, pumping using line pump or boom placer, vibrating/compaction, scaffolding wherever necessary, curing as directed excluding the cost of reinforcement for M25 Grade Concrete for columns, beam, slabs, staircase, lintel, loft, sunshades etc

7.Formwork: supplying and providing the centring and shuttering including of required nos of the prop, span, runners, nails, packing tape and oil etc. complete in all levels – footing, plinth beam, tie beam, columns, still beam, sunshades, lintel, roof beams, roof slab etc

8.Masonry work: 9” brickwork: executing brickwork in cement mortar 1:5 ( 1 cement:5coarse sand) using bricks of class designation 35 (compression strength not less than 35 kg/sq.cm) inclusive of the cost of scaffolding, curing etc. all complete as per drawings, specifications and/ or as directed by the engineer. In foundations, plinth, basement & superstructure at all levels

9.Half brick masonry: executing half brick masonry in cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement: 4 coarse sand) brick of class designation 35 strength not less than 35 kg/sq.cm approved in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement, 4coarse sand) inclusive of the cost of scaffolding curing etc. all complete as per drawings, specifications and/or as directed by the engineer. Extra providing and placing in position 2nos. 6mm dia M.S bars at every third course of half brick masonry (with brick class designations 35)

10. Internal plastering: applying 12mm thick cement plaster with fine sand at all floors and at all heights with necessary scaffolding, curing, making grooves, forming patties etc., all materials and labour complete. In cement mortar 1:5

11. Ceiling plastering: applying ceiling plaster in cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement-4 fine sand) 6mm thick

12.External plastering: applying 18mm thick cement plaster with fine sand in two layers at all floors and at all heights with necessary scaffolding, curing forming  etc., all materials and labour complete. In cement mortar 1:4

13.Vitrified flooring: laying in the floor and skirting fully vitrified tiles of a thickness not less than 10mm of approved colour and design laid on cement mortar 1:4 (one cement: four sand ) of average thickness 40mm. all complete as per drawings and/or directed by engineer-in-charge. Not less than 10mm thick of size as per the architect's drawings and makes as approved by the owner

14.Ceramic flooring: laying in floors fully ceramic tiles (anti-skid for bathroom) of a thickness not less than 8mm of size as per the architect’s drawings and of the premium quality made of approved tiles of approved colour and design laid on 20mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (one cement-four sand) including grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc. complete

15. Toilet flooring: laying of matte-finished antiskid ceramic tiles 6mm thick in flooring of approved quality brand and colour free from cracks, wrap age, fissure & flakes with straight edges & perfect corners laid at right angles as per design and pattern over a bedding of cement mortar of 20mm thick. C.M-1:4 (1 cement, 4 coarse sand) pointed nearly with white cement mixed with colouring pigments to match the colour of the tile and finished in all respects all materials and labour complete 

16. BJLC: laying 1:5:10 brick jelly lime concrete (BJLC) in a sunken portion of the toilet, bath, etc using 40mm gauge and down brickbats, compacted by ramming and cured properly in levelling course including formwork, if required, all materials and labour complete.

17. Kitchen counter: fixing machine cut and polished granite slab of the thickness of minimum 18-20mm for kitchen countertop with half nosing of approved quality and colour selected and sorted edges, perfect corners fixed over a cement mortar backing of 20mm thick average in C.M 1:4 pointed nearly with white cement mixed with or without colouring pigments to match colour of dado tile, properly cured, polished and finished in all respects, all materials and labour complete.

18. Skirting: fixing of vitrified tile skirting/dadoing of the specified height of approved quality brand and colour freeform cracks, fissure & flakes with straightedges & perfect corners fixed at right angles jasper design and pattern if required, over a backing of cement mortar of 20mm thick C.M 1:4 (1 part of cement and 4 parts of sand) pointed neatly with white cement mixed with colouring pigments to match the colour of the tile. Properly cured and finished in all respects all materials and labour complete – 100mm  height.

19.Daboing: fixing pressed ceramic tile dadoing of dimensions as per the drawing of approved quality brand and colour free from cracks, fissure & flakes with straight edges &  perfect corners fixed at right angles as per design and pattern if required, over a backing of cement mortar of 20mm thick. C.M 1:5 ( 1part of cement and 5 part of sand) pointed nearly with white cement mixed with colouring pigments to match the colour of tole properly cured and finished in all respects all materials colour of tile. Properly cured and finished in all respects all, materials and labour complete.

20.Painting

SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS


1. Internal painting applying three coats ( first two coats with a brush and final coat with roller) of acrylic emulsion paint of an approved a manufacturer like Asian or equivalent and of required shade on all surface and two coat of putty after thoroughly brushing the surface free from mortar dropping and other foreign matter and also labour complete. Royal painting ( with neat and good designs) for one wall in hall of each portion.

2.External painting applying one coat of snowcemplus / cemprover as cement primer & two coats of approved make and approved colour shade on sand faced/smooth-faced plaster at all heights including, washing with water and filling crevices. If any necessary scaffolding, brushing, cleaning, surfaces preparations, extensive watering on painted coats, etc complete as per the manufactures specifications.

3.   Ceiling painting applying three coats of acrylic emulsion paint of approved a manufacturer like Asian, or equivalent and white shade on all surface and all heights to give an even shade including priming coats with alkali-resistant primer and two coats of putty after thoroughly brushing the surface free from mortar dropping and other foreign matter and also including preparing the surfaces etc. all materials and labour complete.

21.Waterproofing for sunken portion: laying of wata at the junction with CM in 1:5 ratio admixed with 200ml/50kg bag of cement and 5% of Dr. pidicrete URP by the weight of cement. Apply mortar around pipes. Apply 2 coats of Dr.fixit pidifin 2k or Fosroc brush bond at min. the thickness of 1mm, and a sprinkling of sandon the second coat. Applying protective plaster in CM 1:4 admixed with Dr.fixit/pidiproof LW at 200ml/50kg bag of cement to provide suitable slope toward the drain (only on the ceiling)

22.Weathering course brick jell lime concrete composed of 128 cu.m of brick jelly of 25mm size to every 50 cu.m slaked lime, consolidated In weatherproof course including the beating of concrete with thapis while sprinkling surfaces with limewater rammed and treated with jaggery and kaduka soluting and jaggery and kattuka in the terrace. (100mm thick) laying one the course of pressed clay tiles 20mm thick of approved brand in cement mortar 1:3 mixed with crude oil 10% by weight of cement and pointing of joints in the same mortar including flashing of corners in all floors, complete.

23. Grillworks to be up to owners satisfaction. MS rods to be completed with enamel paint finish. Fixed grillwork for all windows. SS works wherever necessary as per the design
