Side Length (A1) = (Side A1 × Thickness (t) × 2nos) = (50mm × 3mm × 2nos)

Side Length (A1) = 0.0003 sqm

 

Side Length (A2) = (Side A1 – (2xThickness (t)) x (thickness) × 2nos) = ((25mm – (2x3)) x 3mm × 2nos) = (19mm x 3mm × 2nos)

Side Length (A2) = (0.019mm x 0.003mm × 2nos)

Side Length (A2) = 0.019 x 0.003 × 2

Side Length (A2) = 0.000114 sqm

 

Now, total sectional area

 

Total area = Surface area A1 + Surface area A2

Total area = 0.0003 + 0.000114

Total area = 0.000414 sqm

 

Therefore,

Volume V = (Area × length) = 0.000414 x 1 = 0.000414 Cum

 

So,

Weight of the hollow Rectangular MS tube = (Volume × density)

Weight of the hollow Rectangular MS tube = 0.000414 cum x 7850 kg/cum

Weight of the hollow Rectangular MS tube = 3.2499kg
