3. If you clap two bricks together, they should make a metallic, clear ringing sound.
4. Drop a brick from a 4 feet height, if it does not break then the brick is of good quality.
5. Use a fingernail or a sharp tool to try and scratch the surface of the brick. If the brick is unscratched, it’s a good quality brick.
6. The minimum strength of the brick used in construction work should be 3.5 N/mm2
7. A first-class brick should have water absorption is less than 20% otherwise it will absorb water from mortar causes crack in it.
8. A good quality brick should be of high-temperature resistance.
